Orbits is not your typical board game. It goes beyond traditional gameplay mechanics and offers a fresh and innovative approach to gaming. The game aims to improve logical, kinesthetic, and spatial intelligence, making it an excellent choice for those looking to exercise their cognitive abilities.
One of the standout features of Orbits is its three-dimensional perception skills. Unlike other board games on the market, Orbits introduces players to a unique gameplay experience that challenges their spatial awareness and perception. The game consists of 128 orbit curves, each made of silicon-covered steel wires, providing players with endless possibilities and combinations.
The design of Orbits is not only visually appealing but also highly functional. The main body of the game is made of ABS plastic, ensuring durability and longevity. The packaging, made of PET (Polietilen tetraftalat), is designed to protect the game components and provide a convenient storage solution.
Orbits is suitable for 2-4 players, making it an excellent choice for both small gatherings and larger social events. The gameplay revolves around stabilizing the curves without contacting them with others. Players must strategically plan their moves, passing their curves above or under the previous stabilized curves. The first player to stabilize all their curves becomes the winner. In case the game gets stuck, the player with the fewest curves left in their hand emerges victorious.
The development of Orbits was not without its challenges. The designers faced the task of creating a board game that had never been made before, pushing the boundaries of innovation and creativity. They also had to carefully select the materials for the curves, ensuring they were both functional and visually appealing. Through extensive research and prototyping, the designers were able to overcome these challenges and create a game that is as visually stunning as it is intellectually stimulating.
Orbits has received recognition for its outstanding design. In 2014, it won the first prize in the Istanbul Minerals and Metals Exporters' Association's 10th Industrial Design Competition under the category of Concept: Mind Developing Toy Design. Additionally, it was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Toys, Games, and Hobby Products Design category in the same year. This prestigious award recognizes the game's well-designed, practical, and innovative nature, meeting professional and industrial requirements.
Orbits is not just a board game; it is an immersive experience that challenges players to think strategically and improve their hand-eye coordination. With its unique three-dimensional gameplay and visually stunning design, Orbits is sure to captivate players of all ages and provide endless hours of entertainment.
